The Sound of Music brings the story of Maria to the Comic Opera for Children. Through song, the young woman enters the lives of the von Trapp family and helps them rediscover closeness and joy.
In this production by Răzvan Mazilu, who directs, choreographs and designs the costumes, music brings the seven children closer to Maria and their father. From the delight of their first songs to the difficult choices ahead, the story reminds us that love and trust can keep a family together even in troubled times.
The creative team:
The youngest of the von Trapp children, Gretl brings a smile to the audience with every line, thanks to her innocence and charm. In 2025, the role gave Iarina a particular challenge: shaping her voice to sound naturally like a five-year-old girl. It was a chance to rediscover the world through a young child’s eyes and bring the simple joy of childhood to the stage.
