About the show

Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. turns the stage of the Comic Opera for Children into an adventure full of colour, rhythm and unexpected encounters. Inspired by the DreamWorks animated film, the musical takes Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria from New York’s zoo to the island of Madagascar. Far from everything familiar, the four friends discover freedom and the challenges of life in the wild.

Directed by Emil Pantelimon, the story combines humour with the joy of movement, exploring friendship, acceptance and the courage to venture into the unknown. Through every twist and turn, what matters most is having those you love beside you. About the production

Just like the characters in Madagascar, Iarina set off on an adventure full of surprises, emotions and challenges. Her first rehearsal ended in tears: the pace was intense, and she felt she could not keep up. Still, she kept going, gradually finding her place in the team.

Initially cast in the ensemble, Iarina faced an unexpected opportunity just one week before opening night. Director Emil Pantelimon asked whether she felt ready to learn the role of Skipper, the leader of the penguins. She accepted the challenge and stepped on stage as the determined commander. An adventure that began with tears showed her that sometimes courage simply means trying once more. With the director
